The TriGem also has a disconnection, when it is quiet, it takes about 10 seconds until the lights turned off and then resume its work at the onset of the music. He is being touted as a yes 7 color effect, but without fog is not much to see of the colors other than RGB, at least to the wall or the floor is illuminated.
The Tri GEM is a good small light effect with nice effect programs and even a strobe effect equipped. The short connection cable does not bother, because I've always moved to the Trass my power lines and everything is switched on the control panel.
I decided against a DMX device, because I first wanted to have everything in sound-to-light order no more "work" to have behind the mixing desk.
The tiniest flaw that I found out was that on the one hand a plentiful dirty lens was installed and the second in the manual is not how to open it. (Well, if children are at work here, but for me as an electronics a NoGo) it had then found and cleaned everything. The lens is clean and the rays look even smoother than with dirty lens.
But what really gives me something to think about is that the room here but effect is supposed to be equivalent to a 250W halogen spotlight then was as good as no longer visible in the mist operation. The Jewel LED from American DJ is compared with a 100W halogen bulbs and lights almost twice as bright.
Therefore then the one star deduction, though I also have to say that I use fog fluid "P" and with completely zugenebeltem test room of Jewel LED nothing more could manage. Distance hand-eye were 5cm and to recognize the hand only more shadowy. So I got there already complied properly with fog. When the fog had thinned out again then something did both effects the service normally even if me doing the Tri Gem seemed still ewas weaker.
I would recommend the effect each has a rumpus room. For mobile DJs he has to use too, but only as an additional effect as repeating the programs quite quickly.
At the Sound to Light function I have nothing to complain about, it works almost always as it should be and who wants to be master of his light plane has to resort to DMX effects and do everything myself.
