I am more and more romance, so I was really thrilled when I was offered the author his book press-service. Especially knowing that Venezuela is a country that she loves and that I do not know, I was sure to learn a lot of things! Although I think the romance happens too fast for my taste, I still enjoyed my reading, and above all, I had my little tear in the end!
Lissie is a young woman who had everything to be happy, until everything collapses around her. So when the proposal to go far from home in a foreign country, she does not hesitate long. In the company of her best friend Celia, she finds true love with adventures that also will not do it out unscathed.
Here is a summary Loading ... At the same time, if I say more, I say bah too, inevitably. For the adventures she saw it as discovered at As, and they are not all positive. The only thing that is going to make it hold meeting with Hugo, his guide for his vacation. Between them, the first meeting will be ... "explosive". Their very strong character, will finally bring them together, even though their first conversations are rotated about cynicism. I liked this approach: that the future couple does not like to initially brings spice to the story. I love when nothing is easy when there are some difficulties.
Celia, her best friend's partly its basis in reality. It is fresh, full of good feelings and always there to support her. She was the only one to have remained at her side when she saw her life on the wrong side switch. The only one who supported against all odds. It was therefore obvious that this trip is done with it. I loved that character, by its vivacity and strong friendship she wears it. We all dream of having a (e) friend (e) to count on when things go wrong. And that's what it is for Lissie.
Although it is not known immediately what has happened in his life, one suspects quickly the turnaround. So when Lissie returns to its past, we can only have a heavy heart and feel close to her. We've all experienced this kind of situation, at various levels, but still. The author is very strong to talk about this subject. Although it is difficult to approach, she does it simply and effectively. It does not fall into the stereotype of the broken person who does not rise. Obviously, Lissie is in bad shape and wants to go back. However, it keeps well in mind that life is not just trying to change things, but rather to improve them. This is also why I liked her home: her perseverance, despite the facts. To be in his head really helps to attach to it, and it was hard to leave my reading because I really wanted to know how it would end.
Hugo, he is also very endearing. On a different ethnicity Lissie, it clearly marks the difference, explaining repeatedly that they do not have the same life. It could have been a wedge between them, but precisely, it has continued to bring them together. Although, as I said above, the romance is too fast for me, the fact remains that attaches quickly to this couple cute. They do not always have it easy during these few weeks, and most importantly, rumors and suppositions will rife, especially towards the end.
About the country, I must say that we feel the passion of the author. Even though it is fiction (except the blow of cockroach, Amparo hihi), it teaches us many things and described so well, you can almost be in this forest, hear the birds singing, the water slowly drain ... In short, more than text, we have the images and sensations that come along. In any case, it really made me want to visit the country, especially as I love Spanish.
And that end ... I did not expect at all to the turnaround, especially since I finished it a few minutes before resuming work. Yeah, my eyes were full of tears, owl to go to work, huh? If I cried, I can confirm, therefore, that the author was able to move me and make me tie me to the characters. I fear the worst, really, and she was able to stir up the suspense until the end. I know I would have liked him if it had been the end of things but at the same time ... the same time, it would have been a nice end in itself!
In short, a beautiful little romance (too short when one attaches to both characters, yes, really!). A really endearing couple, a best friend of thunder, that really brings good humor in his company. Although the relationship between Hugo and Lissie comes a hair too fast for me, the author, however, managed to take his time, despite the limited pages. She also knew how to perfectly handle a difficult topic to discuss, all sweetness and simplicity. The trip to Venezuela was really great for me. Through this little novel, I was able to travel and that's really fun!
