Nickelback - Here and now (once again ...)

Here and Now (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The parenthesis in the title almost actually everything perfectly. Here and Now is another typical Nickelback album. The same songs, the same substantive issues (women, partying, and a few nice love relationship or anthems) repackaged. But we are completely honest, we would have what to expect another? I definitely do not! Is that bad? I can not find. Although it has already been given to each of the new songs in a form on one of the previous albums, the new packaging are the songs but mostly very good.

For each song:

- This Means War: Heavy riffing and driving bass groove. Surely the perfect opener for the next concert tour. On the CD he did not really knocks me off my feet, as they also
Have done better and the solo part seems rather uninspired. However, quite nice. 3/5 points

- Bottoms up: durgemacht has a change with me in no time. When I heard the (second) single from the first time before the album release, I really did not find the song
appealing. I do not know exactly what happened, but which has meanwhile grown into my favorites so far. Killer riff, cool lyrics, perfect anthem for the output and
make for party. Ordered Bottoms up, next round and both thumbs up. 5/5

- My personal music nadir. A grotiger attempt to write another song a la If Everyone Cared. Backfired. Good News stowed in terribly unimaginative
Lyrics and backed by standard guitars and African-influenced drum parts in the vein of SafriDuo. No Thanks. 1/5

- Midnight Queen: Typical Nickelback song with clear / ambiguous lyrical themes wei eg Animals. Musically well done, nice solo. 3/5.

- Gotta Get Me Some: Closes thematically identical at Midnight Queen and goes one better. Horny Bass Line, cool guitars, tight drumms. For this purpose a cool chorus (with a not so good
Chorus output). However, make sure 2nd album highlight. 4/5

- Lullaby: As would be the first ballad love song, as we have heard it several times, times better (Someday), sometimes worse (Never gonna be alone) but surely the best of the quieter
Album. 4/5

- Kiss it Goodbye: personally not extremely packed me. Lyrically not interesting musically rather boring for me, a maximum average. 3/5

- Trying Not To Love You: Nice love song. nicely arranged. it's OK. 3/5

- Holding on to Heaven: Good song, which could be likened to See you at the show, I'd come for you, and so on. I was packed, especially the chorus. Reticent Instrumentalistik, good
implemented. 4/5

- Everything I Wanna Do: Am I so far still undecided. Sounds pretty good, has me but unsure carved from the socks. But very solid 3/5.

- Do not Ever Let It End: Even the last song is extremely typical of Nickelback and can be compared well with This Afternoon. nothing special but quite nice 3/5.

Conclusion:
I still grieve for the Nickelback the first days to The Long Road, but are definitely not come back. You have delivered another good album that aims again a little more into the harder rockers region without neglecting the typical radio-friendly (potential) hit singles. That's well done and seen overall definitely better than it was Dark Horse. And that is a few times can deliver the same album and is successful, proving indeed AC / DC. Finally, the Nickelback fans will certainly be satisfied again and Nickelback haters (of which there are far too many) again have something to complain about. But surely increasing and we are curious how it will look like Live after the show the last time was really good, because if something goes even further more.
