Here Nikon is a chic little and almost "all-here" binoculars succeeded. The approximately 275-gram grip rubberized housing is not protected against splash water, but absorb so many small water drops already. The binocular has advantageously a unilateral diopter adjustment and the usual centrally located wide & smooth focusing wheel is also available. The enclosed bag with belt loop and the Nikon binoculars collar complete the set.
While there is an eyepiece in the form of small caps which are very loose and lose unsure of the first hiking tour, so that's what most of the additional storage protection. Lens caps are not attached, but because the rubber coating of the lenses a few millimeters above is, that's enough for small shocks well as protection.
If you look through the binoculars through, so can only from about 3 m distance to the object (minimum distance) ever be brought into focus. When observed at a distance of 1km there is still a field of view of 87m. The "image" is always clear and sharp. In further distance it is of course quite blurred with such a lightweight freehand.
