Also you can shoot sharp shots from the hand in good light during the day at 300mm zoom.
This works even without VR with exposures of 1/80.
When shooting in the distance (300mm zoom) however denied the AF and you focus better manually.
In 'closest focusing distance (300mm zoom) sits the AF always perfect and the bokeh is very nice.
Thus, it would be better to describe as good to very good macro lens because as telephoto.
The lens rotates during focusing, ie you can not use a lens hood in tulip shape.
All in all a reasonably priced and good lens.
Only works on Nikon's with built-in AF motor, with me as the D7000.
