Nikon D7100:
The terminals are partially obscured by the bow. Because the D7100 has soft terminal covers, at least the USB port with a little tweaking can be achieved. The achievable space in the short stirrup had something 2mm must be longer and wider so that the connections are completely free. An installation with some distance of the bracket for housing comes to me for reasons of stability of the question. Whether the long deadlines slight kink of the covers would eventually lead to damage, I will not try.
Nikon D750:
The tripod thread of the D750 is compared to the D7100 lag. While this has the advantage that can be larger plates fasten much better and with greater contact area. For the L-bracket, however, this means that it is right on the Anschussabdeckungen. These are also larger than in the D7100 and not divided in two. An access to the terminals is not possible in the mounted bracket.
Addendum 08.04.2015: in flush mounted bracket and the battery compartment is not accessible.
In the Manfrotto Top Lock release systems for Manfrotto MSQ6 plates of the MPU-100 fits. The safety device and the rapid immersion notches function. However, this must be removed at the short end of the strap the screw on the MPU-100. The point of this screw does not open up to me. Possibly it is for other mobile systems of importance for the security.
Although the bracket on both housings does not fit perfectly if you want to terminals, I have to decided yet to appoint a second. My reasons:
The only port used by me is the USB port to transfer to the computer. Since both cameras transmit not necessarily fast, I will set with a fast card reader and work with it. The extremely high price quite the right strap of premium manufacturers scares easily from too much. Who needs the connections regularly, but should refrain from MPU-100 for both housing.
A star deduction there is that the MPU-100 is not made of one part. In the low price can be without that, however. Whether it is worthwhile for ironing out a few component partially spend five times, only time will tell for long-term use.
