Nintendo 3DS XL - Console, blue / black

--- THE FIRST IMPRESSION ---

On 1st moment as you the 3DS XL looks, you think whether he really is not too large. But if you take him in hand, he fits perfectly in your hand. He has a good feel and the weight is not too heavy and not too light. The design is simple and unobtrusive (black and gray). Some people argue, however, that you, the device TO is large. To avoid this, keep the sample in the electrician Andel their confidence.

The controller consists of: A - B - X - and Y button, + Control Pad, Circle Pad, shoulder buttons R and L, Select, Start, Home button and on-off switch. Many complained that the resolution was poor due to the larger screen. This I can not confirm. If you look carefully with a magnifying glass, you naturally notice a difference, but playing one focuses on's players and not on the resolution. At most text can bemeren a tiny difference, but by the wider screen, you sit up anyway farther away, so I can not fault it here. Furthermore, the display is still colorful and well lit (You can also set the Helligleit). The graphics from the 3DS is the way at the level of the Wii.

The gimmick with the Nintendo tried buyer is to bring to the 3DS / 3DS XL of course, the 3D effect. Although this was not my main reason to buy, it's a nice little bonus. The 3D effect is even more impressive than its smaller brother the 3DS XL. You can tell how things rihtig fly on one, like in the movies, which is really impressive for such a small thing. I use the 3D effect but only in cutscenes, because you always have to look for window viewing in a straight angle to detect a 3D effect can and that's in normal play unfavorably.

There are also the functions "Street Pass" and "Spot Pass". Per Street Pass can meet other players if you can be 3DS system in standby mode. This "Miis" you can meet in the lobby and use it in play (more on that later). Spot-pass will automatically download new information at Wireless Connection. AR Games: mini-games that can be played over the AR Cards. AR stands for augmented reality (Augmented Reality).

Most programs are here but to use only little games and only 2.3 times. Some functions such as chatting can be but it used repeatedly.

The sound of the unit is through the speakers quite well and also does not sound out of focus or overridden, or has any other blemish on. For casual gamers or people who lay not so much emphasis on good sound value, the sound is quite good. But right "core gamers" I would recommend headphones, so the sound is namely even better.

The Internet browser is okay on the go and for a handheld. Google is the main page and you can also auswühlen his favorites, and so on ... you can zoom, rotate the image, and switch back to the last pages. For YouTube there is a separate app that can be downloaded from the e-shop. Nice gimmick, but rather on the go, I use the smart phone.

--- --- PLAYING

Playing makes the 3DS XL really a lot of fun and works really well. Despite the size, I realize the move no tension or pain in the hands and fingers. The buttons can be personalized with my hands, achieve really good and as I said have a good pressure point.

The games available now for the 3DS achieve yielder range of genres and leave nothing to be desired.

Each should therefore be something for everyone, for me at least already. Especially since you still can emulate games from the DS. This means that all purchased DS games can (although in poorer resolution for larger screen) play again, which I think is pretty good, because some manufacturers do not make it on the 3DS XL. Even some old classics from NES, SNES and Co. there are around 5-8 Euros in the e-shop. So if you have missed the old classics, will perhaps find it here.

For now gamble on the go, the 3DS needs of course a battery. This is for me a period of 3-6 hours (depending on brightness and vaariiert 3D effect). I think it's perfectly adequate and that should be enough, because more than 3 hours, no one is safe to play on the go.

Overall, I now veteilt over a whole half a year 250 hours of play on the box top, which I think is pretty good for such a "small" handheld.

--- --- NEGATIVE

Actually there is not much negative to say. Only 1 problem which really bothered me much, was the lack of power supply. And I'm not one of those people who did not know that there is no power supply beuliegt, this was namely bewudst me. When the 3DS XL then arrived, I took a course once my power supply, the DS Lite. But ... nothing with it! Horrified, I realized that the power supply of the DS Lite is not synonymous. Here is a USB port would have been useful, but the company policy at many companies is under all, unfortunately nicth only at Nintendo. Even though I think 9.99 is not much, it would have been no problem so supplied.

Still, I can not understand all the 1 star reviews. Then pull stop times from 1 star like me, but only 1 star, why ?? Seriously? Well, you can do nothing ...

--- The bottom line ---

In conclusion I will write nothing here. I think everyone should know that the 3DS XL is worth a purchase for someone, but for me it was. Best test in electronic trading or in Bekantenkereis and then decide. :)
