The sensor could not be coupled to the mobile phone (Galaxy S5). After consultation with the Polar Customer Service I was told by Polar that the sensor is indeed compatible with the phone but no app on the market that supports the sensor. This is in the works and other apps like Runtastic Road Bike Pro sensor not also support.
