Now I had built him a new video card (Sapphire HD 7850) and suddenly stopped working the front panel audio connector.
All settings and driver updates were not successful.
My son complained about the relatively low volume when he wanted to listen to music with his (good) Headset times.
Again, all helped Einstellversuche (volume balance, bass boost, equalizer ...) not really, the volume was just too small.
So I came up with this Asus Xonar soundcard.
The installation and the installation went without any problems.
Immediately also worked the front panel connection (via the sound card) again and the most important thing; the sound, what a difference to the onboard solution!
Through the headphone amplifier of Asus the volume is now more than sufficient.
So loud that you really can not go to 100%.
The sound quality is really good.
My son is finally satisfied ;-)!
Conclusion:
Top-soundcard at an attractive price.
The extra power to a normal onboard soundcard is considerable.
