Because at family parties, games evenings, parties and gatherings in the large circle of friends my 1-Can machine is still overwhelmed fairly quickly. However, the Krups coffee machine Duothek Plus, so copes easily.
In addition, they can in the same passage, both the coffee and the tea drinkers use. An absolute advantage I have learned really appreciate during my tests (family celebration on a grand scale).
Tea filter and coffee filter are easy to take apart, or accepted and can be fine in the dishwasher. As well as the lid of the cans. And of course, the glass can yourself.
The brewing process can run efficiently by taste and we did not have anything on coffee to stay still on Tea Yes, I find even that the machine prepare just for herbal and fruit, really is excellent.
My dear Ostfriesen black does not get it, here it can for me only the preparation to enter into the traditional casting pot. ;-)
Visually, the Krups never feels bulky. But of course, need 2 cans and water containers into place. My room in the kitchen, however, is closely measured, so I'm already encountered problems to handle the machine comfortably. It was not so easy without putting everything under water to fill both the water tank.
However, this was not because the pot "mess" would. As I know from personal experience, always a tricky thing and often criticism. But for me to work here, both the drip-stop automatic, and the mess-free pouring the coffee, or the water in the tank perfectly; always assuming, of course, there is ample space for handling.
I can not say much about the flavor selector. He should serve the water to be slowly run through the filter when only 1 - 3 cups cooked. Since that never happens with us, this function does not play any role for me.
So much for the plus points of the machine. As criticism I give the following points:
The Auto Off the machine is limited to 30 minutes, starting at the end of the brewing process and not varied. Generally I find the Auto Off modern machine really great. However, 30 minutes is definitely too short. I want to have at least the option of being able to set this to 45, or 60.
There is no descaling, or descaling. I am in this respect might be a little lazy, so I need at least an optical signal that indicates to me that it (depending on the hardness of the water, which you can also program should) times, as usual, that the machine decalcified must be.
Both points I have come to expect in other coffee makers and it disappointed me a bit that they are not present in the Krups Duothek; especially when considering the price range.
Another reason why a transition will not come (from my 1-cans-machine, a different brand) for everyday life on the Duothek into question for me. In which case, of course, the above-mentioned problem of space plays a role.
But I will have to experience any more ceremony without compromising the ability of Duothek.
Thus, the Krups coffee machine Duothek Plus / combi tea / coffee remains a matter for social occasions. For this, I really think he's great, however.
