Tested on a N7 and LG Pad 8.3 HDMI 1.4 cables with several recent and armored, signal lost after 2-3 minutes.
Some artifacts appear (small blue lines) randomly on the screen or projector, the sound is transmitted.
With or without the mains charging cable, the problem remains the same.
