Nobody needs more facilities

Anyone - like me - has been navigated and played with a Mercedes Comand (old series), considered this Blaupunkt Chicago - like probably many different models in the lower price segment - as a quantum leap.
So far I had around for a map update for each country (CD). 120.00 EUR pull the trigger, here you get the whole of Europe for just 80.00 EUR.
Even 3D, track display and advanced PIOs were far for me just wishful thinking, as well as the ability to connect any players for MP3 etc..
In this respect, just great, if not almost too much. First play around and basic settings have almost completely emptied the 105 amp battery of my ML.

Nevertheless, if you have the menu only once internalized, you find your way quickly. Radio reception and sound connected setter (iPod / Stick) are properly, and here are the options more than adequate.
So you could theoretically connect to the first USB port an iPod with 160GB, the second USB port a drive with 32 GB and additionally an SD card with another 32 GB. Thus, a total of 224 Gbytes should themselves "collectors" to be more than adequate for the MP3. No similar device provides much connections.

Nevertheless, there's a little criticism (added the bleating at a high level), I do not want to leave unmentioned: it sucks the fiddly micro-SD or their slot on the device. Is already the insertion to the latching an ordeal, so the removal of the card for normal grown fingers without tools (tweezers) is almost impossible. Why not a handy SD card standard format ??? Enough space would have been safe.

Continue to operate the POIs - especially the radar speed cameras - only route guidance (at least I have not found another setting).
It would be helpful also diesbezgl. Warning on known routes for which I normally do not need route calculation / Guide.
So I feel it already more than silly, if I am now and then standing at a traffic light beside or behind the same motorists, of which I know that he also goes to the work site and see (Disk adhesive-TomTom goodness) that it allows users to navigate anyway.

But maybe in this a reason to activate the speed camera warnings ???

Positive note is definitely the absolutely friendly and helpful customer service seeeeeeeehr / Support at Blaupunkt.

In my copy - a refurbished model from Amazon Warehouse deal - there was considerable problems with the software update, the Micro SD card is not recognized by Naviextras.com / accepted = Serial error message.. Presumably, this was at one time used while treated "inappropriately".
Since at naviextras.com no phone support are (= I feel as an imposition) and Amazon with this problem is no solution to offer did (= has never happened), I turned directly to the Blaupunkt hotline.
Result: Map returned a few days later to get with the latest software update all maps including 3D and Blitzer..
Now that is helpful and service at its best.

Conclusion: Over the long-term suitability can only speculate (Blaupunkt today = chinaware), but assuming this visit for the price hardly a better 2-DIN navigation system!
Shall therefore still order a copy for the car my wife.
