There were some positives about the device to say, but I shall confine myself to the mention of the defects that have me finally persuaded to return the clock radio: I want to use the clock radio as a radio alarm clock, so it is on my nightstand and would think sleeping soundlessly accompany. Unfortunately, the external mains adapter is constantly a sound, I would like to refer to as chirping. Also the speaker is a constant noise, mind you with the radio turned off! At first I thought that only my unit would have these defects, but the requested replacement product was exactly the same. I conclude that all units of this type are so. Whoever listens to even worse than I or in a not so quiet environment is sleeping or using the device, for example in the kitchen, which may be able to tolerate this noise.
