Since I'm used to the best television time on the road, I have the summer of 2003 decided zuzulegen a DVD recorder. I then decided to Philips DVDR70. With the quality of the recordings I am very satisfied, even in a 6-hour mode, the recorder delivers still a very good quality. The user interface and the initial installation are easy, so I was initially excited. Initially, there was no blank DVD with problems, all were described correctly. After I had taken about 50 DVDs, there were the first difficulties. Suddenly about 25% of the DVD + R could no longer be described. The recorder crashes during recording simply from, and no longer responds. The only way is to unplug the power cord. The DVD can then confidently throw in the trash. DVD + RWs but could describe continue. A call to the Philips customer service ended with the realization that you really should buy Philips DVDs, then the problems would certainly pass. Unfortunately, this did nothing. Just a short time later, I had about 90% wastage. Meanwhile, unfortunately, even with DVD + RW media. Now I brought the machine back to the dealer, who sent this to Philips. After about 3 weeks I got the machine back, and immediately tried to take a movie, actually it worked again with all data carriers. In fact, again for about 40-50 DVDs. Thereafter, the same problems started from the beginning. Currently the unit is back in the workshop. Apparently the durability of the Philips drive is not particularly high, or I had just bad luck ...
