Not as easily as intended

I run the FLIRC on a Raspberry Pi in conjunction with XBMC (OpenELEC). The first device went smoothly, I could teach the device with a WD TV Live remote control. Plug and play in the RPI everything fine. Unfortunately, I then found out that about 20% of all keystrokes are swallowed, sometimes several in succession, seemingly at random.

At this point the Gefrickel that I really wanted to avoid by purchasing this device began. In the end I was able to successfully bring the setup to work, as I have a FLIRC profile from the Harmony database installed and installed an unreleased version of firmware on the stick, which was in turn connected to larger issues.

Therefore, due to poor results with normal remote controls and 4 hours tinkering only 3 stars. The value for money is simply not true.

Update: To cap it all, I now had to find that the IR commands of official FLIRC profile of Logitech Harmony bring my cable box of Xorox crash. This will cost a star again.
