I have my camera for a few days and I will probably stay here. Meanwhile, some individuals but important details. As is disappearing more and more about these recorders (lamentable direction miserly economy manufacturers ...) and for those who fear the error, I confirm that as well has a SCART input. For me it was absolutely imperative to be able to connect and thus save from my decoder (Numericable, basic, non-HD). And as for my previous device, it works flawless. However, only small squeak, so this is AV input and it is not included in the listing when you fill your screen timer programming command. I forgot: what is new for me, it's double tuner. I was able for the first time simultaneously record two programs simultaneously. Great! There remains the question of the choice of quality (and therefore speed) recording. I knew XL, SP, LP, SP etc. But there are also second, six high definition options. Finished? But no, for third, one can choose "(NO) DC." There, and all these stories of conversion or not that sometimes appear, and CD folder that you are told that it will disappear or not the options of a stored file, strictly understood nothing, and in this regard the user manual remains completely sealed. For the rest, even already in base speed, image quality is exceptional compared to my LG!
Note that this TV tuner (or rather these two tuners, so) is digital only. However, my previous camera was still also analog channel memorizing. What interest today, you say? Well, I could also store some strings provided by Numericable analog (remains of an old basic service which I have heard however that it will soon be fully trucidé). And among the few channels, there were some who otherwise were only available in turning my cable box. In other words, it was convenient (and certainly with much less good but good image), I could then save them without bothering to light me express my decoder (which also, during that time, could be used to something else). Examples: LCI, Paris Première (TV5 for a time, too, but that's it).
Similarly, the tuner of my old unit was the Numericable radio show (I do not speak of those present in the search turned up decoder). Here, nothing. What makes Besides I wonder what serves me, the Panasonic command, the Radio / TV button. When I pressed, no effect.
One last detail to quibble. It surprises that this device is in standby, nothing appears on the front, not even time, black is black there is no hope. It only sees the classic small red dot in case of scheduled recording or underway.
Small surprise to end (temporarily?). When this unit is turned on and tuned to a channel simply, it provides automatically (hence the point of ad hoc button on the remote, it would be useless) timeshift. So that, a little like having the same recorded time, you can get behind (over a limited range to an hour). Practical, eg if you are disturbed by viewer phone (or pee, maybe?), But it is still necessary to have expected watching TV not directly, but via the tuner of your recorder.
All this reminds me also that in reality this is my third Panasonic HDD recorder TV ... And even the fourth since even before my LG, Philips I had two of the start of the thing that had the timeshift automatic system. Devices that after ten or fifteen years, I had checked, and absolutely still functioning perfectly, but alas! pure analog capture now. When we leave this vale of tears?
PS No engraved DVDs. But in reading, for me that uses RW (rewritable), it seems that the most universal DVD came to pass another device (engraved on my old LG device, for me) the + R. If there is a -R, this Panasonic can not read it, unless it has not previously been finalized by the recorder: there, it works but then the DVD will say definitely lost its rewritable character. But it should also be true, and for exactly the same reason for the HDMI cable. In the general settings menu, as my old camera, you can opt for on a recording, automatically move a regular indexing, eg every five minutes. This is the only solution then, in reading, can effectively jump regularly in that example every five minutes, not just every minute as scheduled on the remote only, at least without recourse, individually for each jump at nothing less than the triple maneuver I have already mentioned via the "time slip" button. (With my old camera, it jumped systematically every five minutes by pressing the two side orientation buttons on either side of the large OK, and indeed something that was not in the manual and I had discovered at random ...)
To also return on a possible interruption while watching TV (phone call, urgently pass by ... the smallest room in your apartment). There is much simpler than resorting to timeshift. This is simply pressing the record button. Because then, at any point, you can enter the reading of the same record so to resume at the beginning (somehow offset the original issue), so at the exact moment you left, and then as such registration also continues as long as you will not get it stopped. That said, all this is classic, my LG did too.
Records concerning this conversion story (something that did not exist on my three older recorders), I think I finally understood. Before you start recording, we must choose the speed (the degree of definition). Either the maximum quality you choose "NO (CD)", and point of need for conversion. Either below, you choose among the degrees of so-called high-definition or standard-grade quality (where XL, SP, LP, EP, etc.). So, in reality, the camera records as in the first case (NO (CD), so max, but only temporarily. And as long as you do not switch it off the machine, looking at these records, they will also to quality maxi, identical to that of the broadcast. And only then, once the unit is turned off (on standby) they will be converted in the selected sub-category. You turn the next day, your stuff will more than watchable in EP, for example. A little crooked all that and one wonders to what real use, but good. The key is to have cottoned for fun, pfff.
And then I made my first DVD burning. And without entering a tedious record of all cases, I confirm that apparently, I who uses RW (rewritable), the + R (which I've always preferred) are preferable to R, insofar as one can spend his DVD in another device without needing finalization. One example of other disappointment: having -RW recorded on another camera, it was illegible on this device without having been finalized, and then he had permanently lost his rewritability (no unfinalization, ie reformatting, possible) . Disadvantage not met with a + RW. Or, if you have several recordings including, since there has been no finalization, you still keep the option to delete only the second (to eventually replace it with something else) while keeping the first (so that a reformatting, it naturally removes any). A little aspirin, perhaps?
Something else. By programming the recording via Scart input (AV), no need to place the first tuner AV, contrary to what I had originally thought. In fulfilling its programming table, AV actually not be seen at one end or the other of the list of strings, as on my old device. But we can choose that position by pressing (several times, until the suitable position) on all red colored button on the remote. Not easy to guess, but I feel more and more intelligent (in this case from a distance, I know).
Whatever. When you record two live programs simultaneously (dual tuner thank you!) And then you want to stop one, you press stop and then asks confirmation, simply because it is which of the two you want to stop. Perfect. Appreciable, in publishing (formatting) of a record is accurate when you cut one in half (to remove some excess) with my old camera, there was a shift of a second, easier.
