Moments of surprise (as the vergangenenen albums - true find scattered from time to time - by some Stilerweiterungen- / Change) here hardly be found. Okay, the band never stood for great changes, but that she did not have too. Because almost all the songs that the band had released, most still had a modicum of individual recognition and usually even hit potential on (even on the unimaginative almost as "Boombox")
Not so here:
After a seven-minute innovation loose "We supply the fans proven to not do wrong" -Einheitsbrei skirt with calculated high recognition value - consisting of three songs - comes with track 4 for the first time approaches something refreshing change.
But apart from the relaxed, the toe-tapping animated "Everything Went Black" and the "okaye" "Gentlemen of the year" (in the tradition of some quiet songs that are already on "could be heard Boombox"), that's it then already with the songs that remain any longer hang in the ear. Too bad.
The album is not bad, but simply, and simply too monotonous. Hardly Anwechslung, almost only albewährtes. This happened on "Boombox" already. Only, the problem is this: In "Beatsteaks" extends the zoom re-recorded time-tested quality not previous to the good altbeährte albums. Rather, here sounds almost everything by B-side. Even "Boombox" had more songs with an individual recognition.
A mystery to me how one can abfeiern this album such as many (all buyers / hardcore fans) in their reviews or even editors of music portals such as laut.de.
Nevertheless, it is (the much better music from the past due and therefore thanks to the good reputation / name of the band is) to sell super - therefore done everything right, love Beatsteaks)
Playing tips: Make a wish, Everything went black, Gentlemen of the year.
