Visually both see first of all from completely identical. The only difference is externally only the logo 18 MP instead of 16 MP.
I'll spare me a detailed review on this camera since it is almost completely identical to its predecessor. For things to facilities, service, etc. I refer to the very good reviews of the HX100V!
Differences:
- Now 18 instead of 16 Mp MP. Bring ye all optically almost nothing. The photos are minimal sharper in the distance, which means you can Ranzoomen minimal further. But then you have the known disadvantages of more megapixels. In good light it is not noticed. But in low light the HX200V roars even more than its predecessor HX100V. But not a lot a bit already. More megapixels bring here in my eyes so only disadvantages!
- New automatic functions: Per slider you can now easily adjust contrast, brightness, color intensity, color temperature, etc. of the desired image directly on the monitor. This really is a very useful feature for people who have no clue of aperture, shutter speed, ISO. The camera sets everything automatically accordingly. I think this is the only progress the HX200V!
- In the video function not a new feature is unlike anything to the reports, come to your Site The HX100V filmed already in 50p (frames) at 1080p. The video quality is the same, again, I would point out that here too, the HX200V with lousy lighting a little more noisy!
- In the light sensitivity can now go up to ISO 12800 at the HX200V. In the HX100V's 3200 final at ISO. About ISO 1600 but I would personally never go anyway because the images are simply very washed out. But you have to say that the HX200V at ISO 6400 is even better than the HX100V with ISO 3200. For much more important (in my opinion) ISO 100-400 is the HX100V especially in dark areas but better. Less trickle!
- The zoom is unchanged (30x optical, 120x digital)
Conclusion:
The HX200V is really just a paper tiger. Shows off 18 MP and ISO 12800. In practice, but actually brings pure garnix. On the contrary, under extreme situations, the camera is even more of a throwback. Very good indeed, the new automatic program is where you can influence contrast, brightness, color, etc. Live via sliders.
Bearing in mind that the HX100V currently goes for only about 350 over the counter and the HX200V least 130 more, and thus will cost 480, I can only come to the conclusion that it is not worth the money!
The probably only benefit the HX200V is that the HX100V will be cheaper soon have ;-)
