after I got ahead a Edimax 3030 as UK version I swung around to the D-Link DSC-932L.
Can there follow the previous ratings ...
POSITIVE:
- WPS button or function works well
- The software provides for the price adequate functions, is not intuitive to use, however
- Compact dimensions
- Very easy installation of the device (not to be confused with the additional software)
- Usable web interface (browser)
- Price / performance ratio is OK
- The data can be stored in encrypted form
- Focus on the meager resolution of 320 * 240 absolutely good, no streaks in movement.
NEGATIVE:
, Rather off sound appalling -;).
- A loud clicking sound of the clear red shining infrared LEDs when they switch to night mode .. (that's light up a real downside, are also those who do not!)
Setting the image to 640 * 480 can only be set to 20 FPS, so 320 * 240 for liquid image -
- Zoom (up to 4X) is not even interpolated or you do not see - useless, since shadows, projected by candlelight with your hands against the wall, sharper
- WLAN reception quite mau (against tested with laptop has 5 bars)
- Software does not allow video recording to FTP via Motion Detect to (still images)
- Consequently, no "after Ereignisauslöung" definable video recording time Adjustable
- Schedule can be a day not divide (eg Mondays 8-12 and then again from 20-22 clock), only a recording time set (or I was not yet in the right menu)
- No separate mic input (although standing in the specification are not in, would have done with the built-in mic not!)
- The angle of inclination of the stand is very limited set
Conclusion: You should know what you want to do with the camera - for an indiscreet simple (think of the 4 red shining infrared LED!) Room monitoring well suited. For example, completely unsuitable as discrete "nanny cam" to see what the so-doing with the young (think forbidden anyway?).
So as a deterrent, and to follow up if anyone still had to enter so stupid, definitely good. Unfortunately, the picture is evidence of the resolution never be good enough also to identify the perpetrators so :-) Unless you shoot only individual photos, which would cause the video function with 30 FPS However absurdum.
Hope the vote was a help or the other.
