Alternatively there Agonis and OpenATV:
Agonis:
Here, the manufacturer seems to cooperate - but she is still young and had hanger. But the main reason why I did not continue to be used, is that there is no deep-standby - the box is also in the Economy mode in full operation (at the present time from an ecological point of view an outrage) and all components are after hours Stanby totally hot or hot.
OpenATV:
Runs relatively stable (but also had hangers) and mainly works here the deep standby.
A disadvantage may be that various parts (the Linux boxes make it interesting) must be installed manually:
-) CI + support
- (To use) cam feed to various software cams)
(But is only partially a disadvantage because soft Cams anyway require reading into the matter => a Linux box is not a plug-and-play device)
For advertised CI + support => it works, but it still seems to have teething troubles:
I have it with a H ... + - module tested (Sky I did not) => you can easily absorb and the recordings can be processed further. However, about every 3 Recording is broken (but decrypted full of mistakes, so it is not usable).
I hope that is not resolved in the future.
Softcam: Have Oscam tested and worked great - Picture is always decrypted and picking has always worked
Conclusion:
Rather preiserte Linux box that is not perfect, but very good to work with alternative software.
Requires initiative by the owner (previous knowledge an advantage but not a must for willingness to learn)
