I bought Nero 9 from Amazon a few months ago, and I was able to get a (bad) idea about it. One word sums up the software: SLOW. (It goes without saying that I am not a neophyte, I tested other software, and Nero on other PCs that I use every day). Take 1. The player, Showtime: After double-clicking, it appears after 30/40 seconds. It takes two minutes to display video (whatever that is); it only closes on 30/40 seconds which it appears frozen. Free software like GomPlayer or Haihaisoft asks two, three seconds to display the same video). 2.Nero vision, to create a DVD. The module appears after 40 seconds. Before processing a video, the software initiates an analysis ... endless. Video 4 mo, recorded on home PC, is analyzed in 30 minutes (discouraging ...) if you check the wrong option, because the software first converts mpg file! And neither manipulation nor converting the file are started. For information, it takes 40 minutes to ALL TMPGenc finish. I do not speak of conversion which, depending on options, can claim up to 10 hours, where others end up after three or four hours. Among all Nero 9 modules, there are only Burning Rom which pulls out of the game. It is fast and reliable (it is at the origin of the unique star). Even if, ultimately, the modules work quite well (question results obtained), I regret buying this software, especially as the carrier, to whom I entrusted these remarks, take me for a remained with phony answers like: "There are many reasons why Nero 9 is slow." We would like to know why. Hi to all, happy holidays, Treefolk Bellefleur
