I find it annoying when, will not call attention to such limitations that are also safe buying decision for many.
The shipment by Satkontor in a padded envelope, I found at least some getting used to
Supplement 15.05.2013:
Meanwhile, Amazon has revised the product description, you can now selectively choose the versions with or without PVR.
To service I have already described my first impressions, now I would like to add something.
Power consumption: In operation about 7 watts in standby approx 0.7 Watt, this is true but only if the pass-through of the antenna signal and the clock display is disabled in standby via the System Settings (!). Otherwise, the power consumption in standby is not reduced and remains at approximately 7 watts, and an attached hard drive remains activated. This could have been somehow able to solve intelligent. This leaves only the detour, with simultaneous connection of TV and receiver (if you want to use this example only as a PVR), to use an antenna duplexer.
Supplement 16.05.2013:
The test of the PVR function brought a further restriction to light, was drawn to the not in the item description from Amazon, even on the manufacturing side of Opticum or in the instruction manual:
The records are stored veschlüsselt (perversely even with Freeview channels), a further processing of recordings not offerd ... none of the video tools I've tried, could begin with the records stored as .TS streams something ... thus the device goes immediately to Amazon back ... the 30 euros extra compared to the variant without PVR function are mE waste of money
