Not suitable as a bicycle lamp

The layman will operate mainly with 3x AAA. That's just a little cumbersome and time consuming in terms of changing the battery and magazine handling at permanent use. It consists also a risk to stand by using error in battery maintenance suddenly without light. One has just to do it with 3 small batteries that must be replaced regularly to 1-1,5h operation yet.

From the use with Li-Ion batteries I have refrained because of the associated costs and the risk of fire.

Thought I had the lamp as a bicycle lamp. Here's the straight without blinding oncoming traffic too strong nor usable. One has the lamp but quite far set down and must not put too much on the wide-angle zoom.
It must be noted here, however, that this flashlight is not permissible bicycle illumination within the meaning of the Highway Code.
That's why I've provided only as additional lighting in dark rides in the woods.

The lamp is unsuitable as a bicycle lamp. Whether in the city or in the woods: If you drive over bumps and the lamp is shattered, then adjusts the current program. The lamp may not go out, but is lighter or darker or starts to flash. This happens quite often and is not acceptable.

Going out on a regular basis with the dog, but the lamp is great suitable.

For professional use, the lamp is not suitable because of the 5 different focal levels and the associated Durchschalterei.

For stripe coating on standby with batteries instead of rechargeable batteries as in the car or in the basement, the lamp is not suitable. AAA have the same price is only 1/3 of the energy of AA and are therefore too expensive. Here you take better a slightly darker lamp with Cree Q5 and a single AA cell.

To complain I also have the fact that at the first of the 2 I ordered the lights switch was back not inserted correctly and the switch part when changing the battery pack in the dark has fallen apart. That requires a search Errei for the items and the repair with hot glue.

Further, in this light, the battery tube has been missing that for operation with Li-Ion cells is necessary.

But I admit nevertheless 4 stars. The price of 6.50 makes such defects acceptable - at least for the skillful hobbyist who just goes to AAA.

The light emitting circuit of the lamp at 2m distance can be up to 3,40m diameter. Another reviewer measures 2,80m here.

My two lamps I again compared. Lo and behold, I noticed that in the same appearance ansonstem a lamp 2cm shorter than the other. There are certainly many different subtypes. One can not know exactly what you really get.
