I am modeller and want to make exception aerial photographs with the copter so. For some time now I was looking for a camera that makes acceptable recordings. Apparently there is no way to the hero. They really take good pictures, I think.

However, I must say that it really is a Actioncam which probably has its strengths elsewhere. Or at least I should have let me know beforehand better to know what the "White Edition" can.
Since my copter is very small, but still strong, there is only one resolution at which the video is the landing gear, etc. can not be seen, namely the best - Full HD / 30fps. All other resolutions are not for me, because they all have an extreme fisheye effect and photographed the copter things that I do not want to see in the film. However, in the other formats, the quality of the recordings is also good.
There is no choice for the photo resolution to my disappointment. There is only one, namely re unusable again only with a strong wide-angle, and so for my purposes. However, the images are so large that I can cut out a useful range.

Since my Kopterchen came to its carrying capacity limit, I also had to give up the case and thus also on a possibly good fixing ability. Unfortunately, my shots were still haunted by the jello effect. The Hero then gets in a small wooden enclosure with foam lining. Videos and images are now properly. In addition, I had also the Hero slightly twisted mount because the lens is centered not so, such as on a Rollei Bullet.
One thing I noticed today: The brightness corrections are not sliding, but still jerky and suddenly. It's not serious, but you can see it precisely.

The operation of the Hero is easy, if you know the symbols and know what's behind it. She makes the best shots that I previously saw of tiny cameras and so I would recommend the Hero with a clear conscience.
