I had the pleasures described by apparent body longer reviewers not permitted:
1. My pupil distance is approximately 55mm, the glass starts at just 60mm. That's a shame, because their design are Porro binoculars - as opposed to the roof prism design - binoculars for smaller people. Especially with a 7x35 glass, so with low magnification and a small lens diameter, this shortcoming was absolutely not to be expected. Even many 8x40 or 8x42 roof prism models start at minimum pupillary distances around 56mm. After some searching, I have now found an English information sheet on Olympus.co.uk, there is given as a pupil distance range: 60 - 70mm.
2. I suspect that the binoculars is much too broad, clunky, heavy, unsustainable not just for my hands. OK, the dimensions were given, but because my usual Used Optolyth alpine 10x40 felt never disproportioniert so uncomfortable, I'm not have guessed that a 7x35 in every respect might be too big for me.
3. The narrow wearing ribbon should be at 650g binocular weight immediately replaced by a wider shoulder strap, from approx. 7
I was the glass fortunately without loss once more to buy a powerful person who already was looking for a pair of binoculars for occasional use and was pleased about the special low price (I had bought through Amazon's warehouse deals). Otherwise I would have returned it.
Currently I use as an alternative to the Olympus honest and genuine great KOWA YF 8x30. That's twice as expensive -. Which, given the excellent optical qualities including water resistance is optimized - but with 475g considerably lighter and handier, and the pupillary distance right or would simply grow at a youth. For this purpose a luxurious padded carrying strap +++ !!! Brief review s. There
