Indeed, I find this story much less documented than in the Attic of the Underworld, The Chamber of Curiosities and The Spells of the Lost City. And I find the story a lot less exciting than in the Trilogy Helena.
In addition, the gallery of supporting characters that surround most often Pendergast (D'Agosta, Proctor, Constance Green ...) is limited here unfortunately Corrie Swanson is finally the main character of the story.
True more Storm White is the link between its plot and Conan Doyle. It's a really good idea that brings a "plus" to the story.
Otherwise, the action scenes are always well described and the authors arrive -as always- to make us feel the anxiety and suspense.
To conclude, it is a good book but not the best of Preston & Child, and it adds nothing to the changing character of Pendergast. I must say that we have been well served in recent times with the Trilogy and Helen Extraction (released only in e-book and available for the Kindle).
