Brigitte Aubert is one of our best writers of detective stories, successes are innumerable (Death of wood, Funeral Parlor, a soul too, etc.) what is great about it is that it is renewed at each novel (anxiety, suspense, psychological, historical thriller, ...) here is a suspense that goes 200 miles an hour, it leads up to the floor, with this "granny" who turns out to be a great "Machine war "and actually see all the colors crooks who take hunting. It is packed with action, humor, sometimes think of Tontons gunslingers. It's a bit hackneyed to say that it is a book that we can let go once started, but now really is the case, the reader is taken by the action taken by the character of this " granny "Hélène pursued by killers, and turns the pages caught in a whirlwind. A great, great reading pleasure. And what movie it would make!
