The imagination of the author is fertile but ultimately, emotion (a sudden drop in the magical consciousness in Sartre's words) is not at the rendezvous. While this may offend the intellectual doxa, I do not do allegiance to this text; reading is boring and laborious. Obviously, eroticism is elsewhere.
