In addition, the battery life was secondary, I wanted to use exclusively at home. The last criterion was that I wanted to spend a maximum of 100.
-Acer Iconia B1
First I bought the tablet above. The price was about 80 (Amazon Warehouse Deals). The tablet is relatively fast and has Android 4.1.2.
The screen, however, is very bad for 2014, especially the viewing angle. When photos show a second person must immediately stand behind one, because if you look from the side, is almost nothing to see on the screen.
I quickly realized that I wanted to like to connect to your TV, the tablet, the Iconia B1 is at but impossible.
-Odys Cosmo 10.1 "
Because of the size of the screen and an HDMI port, I have the older Odys Cosmo 10,1 bought in 2010. This was clearly a bad buy, but not for nothing.
I've learned something what to look when tablet purchase:
Cosmo had no Download Play Store but any other shop (Service) for app. That's not so great. In the same resolution, there are huge differences depending on the screen. For the first time I've had a product of "Odys" in his hand. Although the tablet a few years was old, it just felt very valuable and was fully functional.
-Odys Titan VS. Intenso TAB814
Now when looking for a cheap tablet, I ended with these two tablets. If you look at the specifications, so the choice is difficult, because they are almost identical on both devices and there is no clear knock-out criterion.
-> Intenso products I know from Aldi and is located in the Amazon sales rankings tablet ca ranked 100. In addition, it has over 300 reviews with the tablet comes to a total of 4 star.
-> Why did I so chose Odys?
-> In the recessions I have read that when Intenso no Play Store but another shop must be used to install the app. Not so with Odys.
-> Odys has an IPS screen and I can confirm that the viewing angles are very good. The screen is generally very good and the colors crisp. In Intenso people complain about the viewing angle.
-> Processing of Odys is good, the back is probably plastic, but feels metallic.
-> I have no information at Intenso Bluetooth found.
Generally I can say that the tablet for the money is very good. The applications run fast. I have the game "Despicable Me" installed and running without jerking. That was different for Acer Iconia Tablet.
Weaknesses are:
-> WiFi
On the second floor, I have only half the signal strength, a little further away than 10m it is then completely gone
-> The speakers are very quiet, so I use the Tablet permant with headphones
-> Is in constant use to get to about 6 hours of battery life.
For the price you have to expect a lesser extent, so get the tablet from me 5 stars.
So much to first if any further weaknesses occur, I'll let you know!
Addendum 07/02/2014 (-1 Stern):
Unfortunately, less than a month after the power button is broken, the device can not be moved on or off in stand-by. I will exchange the unit. If the next device breaks again, I will deduct two stars.
