I therefore agree with some reviewers that Garbarek's saxophone is sometimes too intrusive and not well mixed and the Hilliard undeservedly points to second place. More restraint in turn, or simply more pieces without his involvement would have been appropriate here. The positive overall impression is unfortunately diminished.
