More on:
Therefore, the cam comes with AC adapter, wall mounting, antenna, CD and mini-guide in paper form.
*** A LAN cable is not there (which is required for initial setup) ***
Evil is not ... but the 15 cents would have the manufacturers not hurt - and not everyone has
at home a smorgasbord of network accessories.
The device can be carried out as follows:
- Cam with network cable to the network konnektieren (eg router / switch)
- The cam is configured by default as a DHCP client - do you mean, you get a
IP address from the DHCP server (usually a router). Should this not be active: Activate
- Using the supplied CD and the software, the IP address of the action can be established in the network
- Via the browser can then be accessed via the web interface and the settings can be
activate the WLAN function
- Now Attention: Maybe it is a general behavior or I had just "bad luck".
When I activated WLAN and WPA2 / TKIP that Cam was not detected around the straining the network.
What helped me (after several attempts) was the Cam * to give a fixed IP address * and WPA
switch instead of WPA2. Note: By default, the cam has no fixed IP
- Important: Once you have activated WLAN, the Cam wants to reboot -> Immediately disconnect the LAN cable from the camera.
Then (after the reboot) you should have received an IP address from the DHCP server.
- Control via router possible
- With the manufacturer software I could not find the Cam via WLAN!
Interim conclusion:
The installation is in my opinion very creepy and fiddly when departing from a 08/15 facility.
The cam itself makes a reasonable impression and processed for the money provides the Cam an image - which logically
far from being "pretty", but very functional. She has a motor control and can the Cam via tablet / smartphone
operate.
The automatic alarm I have not tested, so far as not relevant to me.
Even outside access, I have not tested.
The same cam is also available in black.
Update 7/26/2014:
################
- External access I have now tested via VPN. The DynDNS service offered by the manufacturer
I have not tested since irrelevant for me. From the road, one gets with 3G reception quite liquid pictures
- The night vision is quite good indeed. From inside to outside through a window but not expected to be possible
- Negative striking that the cam does have a micro, but via iPad no sound transmission. As far as I read
have, this only works with Internet Explorer
- I have now but awarded retrospectively for the price / performance ratio a fourth star. You must not give the
Expected quality of an expensive Cam
