The clearest difference from the Microsoft Solution: The microphone has a very weak directivity, which is pleasant. This can sometimes "aside" talk that sound is lost. Disadvantage: Background noise is fully transferred. When Microsoft sound quality is quite lost when you do not directly speak to the micro. For this is a somewhere in the background running Radio not annoying - who wants to use the webcam in a noisy environment should tend to Microsoft solution.
Disadvantage of Logitech: The camera attachment is for your feet once "straight ahead" is not enough. The camera itself is not mechanically horizontal schenkbar that goes to a limited extent only via software. I have it with "adhesive plasticine" attached to the monitor to the camera to align as desired by me.
A camera with the base of the Microsoft LifeCam (fully adjustable) and the Logitech camera / micro solution would be ideal, not to get in the price range.
Therefore, 3 of 5 stars, inexpensive literally is the camera. For the money, you do not do anything wrong and has no trouble with drivers. Even Linux is unproblematic, even easier as with Windows XP - without Logitech drivers ballast.
