Ansich a solid tablet - especially when considering the price. It is just already some concessions in purchasing.
The main points:
+ Root is possible (no idea if even if you will update to 4.4.2) - Kingo-Root and Moto Chopper googling (I 4.2.1er the firmware without any updates with OSX and Moto Chopper rooted)
+ Radio: Belongs to the 10% of Android devices that support still old-school liges FM radio
+ Charging with Micro USB (included power supply has 1.2 amps)
+ USB OTG works
+/- Screen brightness borderline - read outdoors - even in the shade - is not easy
+/- As opposed to the 3G version (A5500-H) Only one speaker (which is for angesteurt about some strange and probably unnecessary Dolby Software)
+/- Feel and Processing (originally a plus point in my review - no longer): Fits comfortably in your hand, but after a short strain (1 week in possession, of which perhaps three hours playing a game with touch screen operation, which comprises the tablet slightly firmer hold) creaks the housing in the area of the USB input
- No brightness sensor - thus no automatic brightness control. I'll never understand why you save with something.
- No notification LED and no flash - thus no way that a tablet with wacky screen so tells how he is (e-mail reception, Hangouts messages, ...). At least the Notification LED would have been indoors :(
- No mini-HDMI output :(
- Seemingly no CWM / TWRP available, as no custom ROMs (also have some doubts that me who is porting other Cyanogenmod)
- Lenovo Launcher is real shit - if you stick Launcher or the enhanced used of CyanogenMod, which is pretty hard: There is no App Drawer - all apps are just on one or more desktops. A clear case of UVA (around the straining otherwise)
- Quite a bit of bloatware (Skype, Norton Mobile (only a shortcut to install given if to Buy), SyncIt HD (WTF), energy manager - IMHO completely unnecessary, presentation app - as we know from stores, "UC browser" , etc.).
- It should not be possible (such as in Samsung) downgrade itself - well it could but go directly through ADB.
Despite the somewhat unpleasant restrictions (video output, no custom ROMs) I will keep the part but now. After all, I bought a cell phone that has cost as much as 3 of these tablets - for taking the restrictions but in purchasing.
Thanks Root, alternative launcher and Xposed framework it will be possible for me to eliminate or circumvent the partially grottige Lenovo software. (Update: freezen Bloatware with Titanium Backup or uninstall with root and install Xposed + Gravitybox have largely reconciled me with the software again - open system Android has just already benefits).
Review:
Somewhere 3-4 stars.
Since the housing already creaking after a week, I'll give you just 3 - that is sure to get worse. Before I updated the review with this new knowledge, it got 4 stars.
