Koss PRO-DJ200 Casque Avec Dj ControlTalk Headphone (Electronics)

Customer Review

UPDATE:
Now that I use the Koss really long, I have him now actually even upgrade again and correct some of my original review: I think now he can certainly keep up the Logitech UE6000 and the AKG 550 with headphones like.
I now had the opportunity the more accurately compare. The Koss is in spite of existing, more expensive alternatives - become my everyday headphones. Just a good, pleasant and rich sound with great mids. So for this price you can not go wrong but also nothing. Good thing!

And now you read it just the original review)

For me, Koss has with the Pro DJ again has a 200 underdog on offer, such as the Porta dergenau Mens Pro makings of a classic. Under the radar of audio and Markennerds. Koss is simply the value king: somehow the nation's small headphone for studio.

I can see the Pro DJ 200 personally comparing my experience with Koss Porta Pro, Bose AE2, Grado SR325, Sennheiser HD25 and BW P5 (Yes, I am also a little Audionerd). It is used on a Mac Pro for video editing and there simply times for listening to music and playing games.

For exterior:
The processing for the price is very, very good. Even surprisingly good. It can be worn comfortably. The cable is easy wechselbarnormale 3.5 jack. Everything is stable and of high quality. The ears are completely covered. You can lay the shells easily away from the ear to the back to one ear free to habenDJ function. There are a mono switch also for DJs thought to hear both channels in one ear. The cables are thick and sturdy. He is however, only partly go to use meaningful by its size, which is why I also use the coiled cable and not ds thing with the Apple Remote.

The most important: the sound.
The Pro DJ 200 really made me very surprised. For the price it's almost an insult. Of course, he can not keep up with AKG 550, UE 6000, or similar with colleagues. But the thing costs only 70th

Therefore deliver warm, neutral to slightly tone. It is quite warm and has just this ... how should I say: HiFi sound. Quite simply fun, pleasing, smoothen, rich hi-fi sound. Simply Rock solid. He's been so good that one with higher-class listeners-the weakness was apparent only in direct comparison takes. For he is seen simply fun and the sound I enjoy, even if it slightly lacks the level of detail and sometimes as a certain sparkle, so clear highs and energy.

The bass is not so oversized such as the Porta Pro, but is full, voluminous and fun. His strength is clearly the centers: Straight singers voices are just wonderful. In addition, you simply listen to quite "a lot". This means that for the semi-pro studio area thoroughly recommended already.
He actually tends a little towards neutral, although he still brings across this HiFi GeĆ¼fl. Strange)

The heights are placed a bit back. He also shields pretty well: that is, at night in bed, he works for me very well. However, it needs quite a lot of power and directly on the iPhone, iPod, or other player, he is worse sound as it can actually. It shows if you have him on a regular headphone amplifier. Since then he plays on even more.

For games on the PC: also just great. Print full, creamy, creamy and by its decent detail you can also very good in the room places.

While the Pro DJ can not keep up with the 200 class as AGK 550, Beyerdynamic, etc., but you are caught directly in such comparisons and that simply speaks for its surprising quality. The runs in something like this: We hear and think: Naaa, but the HD25 can not quite keep up ... hmmm ... but not so bad ... hmmm ... but would the 25 already better , better detail, bass, insulation. But not all that bad of Pro DJ.
And then comes to mind that the Pro DJ just 70 costs and the HD25 200. Just a very solid part, the thing. :)

For the price I fully buy recommendation. 100 would be easily worth keeping compare with more expensive phones even stand.
It is for me once again understand how very Koss flies under the radar of AudioNerds. Do they provide but always rock-solid classics from to almost outrageous prices.

Those who want can sometimes look at head-fi.org and some freaks share my opinion: a class part. ;)
