Appearance:
As you are used to it from Daedalic, the players expect beautiful, hand-drawn characters and backgrounds, coupled with beautiful particle effects and good animations.
The environments are designed great and there are a number of eye-catcher.
Sound / Music:
The speakers are all very good again. Even Jerry, whose voice I still was very inappropriate at the beginning, but fits perfectly with the game world.
The ambient sounds fit perfectly into the environment. The world seems alive.
And the soundtrack! One of the best that I have heard so far in the adventure genre. It has its own character and spreads an almost fairy-tale atmosphere.
What I'm glad that was included, so I can enjoy it even now. : D
Gameplay:
As usual, we collect objects, combine them with each other or the environment, and talk to NPCs.
Throughout the game, we get some magic who I liked. Especially the first. : 3
Just a pity that they were very rarely used to solve puzzles.
In general, the puzzles this time were quite crisp. Even I, who love and many Adventures Games had to watch a couple of times in a solution.
My personal highlight in the game was also the quartet game. Although it was not particularly useful, but a lot of fun, was accompanied with great music and beautiful in scene.
Story:
In the beginning everything seems quite childish and the impression is that this is not waning. At the latest, after we have learned our first spell, a faint, uneasy feeling begint to make wide. And in the end everything is something more complex than expected. Much to my delight. ^ - ^
Conclusion:
I have played some of Daedalic Adventures. I love them all. But this one the most.
It combines many great elements in an enchanted and so that you can not stop until the last secret is out.
In addition, the packaging is a true feast for the eyes, as well as the content.
The only thing I would wish for now, would be a collector's edition, in which the card game is truly present in. ;)
