TOCOTRONIC .. !! This band's name was and is for me, at least for always interesting albums. The music is mostly good to very good, the vocals unfortunately sometimes nölend / getting used to on their plates. Nevertheless, there have Tocotronic managed from Hamburg again and again that I grew their output and also until today always like to listen to. So now their new album, simply with "Tocotronic" and the addition: "The Red Album" means. Fits on May 1 Labor Day have the political left oriented Hamburger her album accordingly published / named. For album. "Tocotronic", consists of 13 pieces spread over lush 53:19 minutes. The overall impression is excellent and I see "Tocotronic" very high up on my own Tocotronic discography. I wish to highlight any of the songs as they somehow all a "big picture" result will, say, any of the pieces described as outstanding. There is not a fill-in song, or bore thereby. To me an all around very good, compelling album. Instrumentation: Voice, Guitar: Dirk von Lowtzow / Bass: Jan Müller / drums, keyboards, vocals: Arne Zank / keyboard, guitar: Rick McPhail. Conclusion: Tocotronic have released their new, self-titled album of their greatest output. For this you pay the full 5 stars (genre-related).
