The Australian combo is for me one of the few bright spots of the 80s, at least in their Best of-album, because on the studio albums is often too much idle. They've had their hits and which are strong. Here it is on this CD is not the existing AIF the record Statue of Liberty exists, but eight other songs, but the drop in quality again slightly. But now to the positive: The Little River Band convinced by skillful instrumental playing, a singer with great Stiime, ingenious Background Vocal and a lead guitarist, the auftrumpft with sophisticated, not dahinimprovisierten solos. Your Hits inspire through beautiful, catchy melodies with great eingbauten intermediate parts in the songs themselves and the above-mentioned features of the band. Your best songs Lonesome Loser, Help is on is way, Cool Change, Take it easy on me, Reminiscing, The Night Owls, The Other Guy, Happy anniversary and the superior Down On The Border (what a guitar intro and melody) which justify a purchase to 100%. The other songs are not bad, but sound too similar, so that the sound of Little Riber band is somewhat monotonous. You should have taken anstat of 18 only 10 best, which I have called, on the plate. But true fans of the Little River Band might not agree with me. I like certain songs of the band, which I find really awesome, others please not to me. Nevertheless, The Little River Band, a musical great band, maybe not, but their best of album definitely heard their albums in a record collection.
