What can I say? The hard drive meets these criteria not only but lays smooth yet gained a lot, because the full power of the hard disk is already being accessed from home with the supplied USB cable.
A Y-USB cable is neither necessary nor useful in any form.
Since my TV / Ultrabook have not so many USB ports, which is just great.
Data I could with well over 100 MB / sec write (SSD on the WD Elements). That should be enough. With its predecessor, it was less than 20 MB / sec!
The processing and the space-saving design are to be commended.
A star deduction however, there is for the supplied software on the hard drive. Only trial version, highly controversial (allegedly illicitly sends data), not really make sense. Although a quick format provides a remedy for inexperienced users who possibly rely on the software offering that is not enough.
Nevertheless, a strong buy recommendation! 4 stars.
