After the announcement I was initially worried: The protagonist now shows his face, and speaks the whole playing on a space station. Should the claustrophobic atmosphere that mainly it lives, that is godforsaken alone on a huge spaceship traveling, lost? I must say that I for one of the most important and intelligensten games ever think Dead Space 1: This mixture of "Event Horizon," "Alien" and some other scifi / horror classic was a work of art (as well as the mentioned films) , My concern, however, have proved to be unfounded: Part 2 is at the height of the first part, just grueslig and claustrophobic. Total has apart from the other setting also done not so much - a few more Necromorphs there, a few (few) new weapons here. As the developers have the "Sprawl" designed, but is visually and stylistically impressive. Even the sound design is right again - much of the oppressive atmosphere comes through the sound effects and especially the "ambient sound" about. Overall, therefore, again a masterpiece. A serious warning though: Even if you look at - like me - feel at home in the whole genre of horror films, is Dead Space 2 places almost on the threshold of pain. I will have to file every now and then breaks because I find the whole unbearably creepy playing. The Gesplatter is fortunately as in the first-not an end in itself, not a voyeuristic pleasure, but plays a role in more than disgusting atmosphere of the game. So who can live with nightmares, this game has to play: 5/5
