The installation is easy and basically as promised by Jabra headset in less than 5 minutes is ready. I use it with the iPhone and the coupling has to run at all, during the coupling I was still sent to the Apple Store at the Jabra Connect app to install. However, the app is mandatory not, you can only choose a few settings, read something in the manual or connect a second device to the headset (not tested).
The battery is charged via optional 230V USB power adapter, USB cable or car USB adapter. A full charge takes 1-2 hours of talk time then is a good 6 hours to perform well. When not in use the headset switches immediately into standby, the microphone arm is folded, the device switches off completely.
I am a bit sensitive in terms Ear Headphones & Headsets, thus I had hoped for something more from the comfort when reading the marketing promises so. For a whole day I could not wear the headset for a few hours at a time, it is quite in order. The button in the ear can be rotated 180 degrees, the rest is symmetric, so the headset is suitable for both ears. In the beginning I had to fumble something now I can do it but even with one hand set up to answer a call.
Now the operation, which is really innovative and could earn points with me. Incoming calls can be accepted on the call button or by voice command "Accept". The latter requires the right timing, as the first name (if known by the phone) or number of the caller will be read out. Only then accepts the headset voice commands. For a long unknown number long voicemail has started from the phone. However, outgoing calls can be run via voice commands without a telephone. At least help me by Siri iPhone case a contact to call if I command "phone" say the headset. Furthermore, can be on the headset itself adjust the volume via a touch slider and you can engage in conversation mute. Not just phone calls are routed via Bluetooth, all the other sounds, music, videos are transferred to the headset (if the phone is not set noiselessly). The Bluetooth connection icon on the phone even provides information on the battery status of the headset.
The voice quality is absolutely top and was of many interlocutors as "better than before" classified (without headset). Noise are not completely filtered out, but overall a very good quality.
Criticism on a high level:
- Comfort could be even higher, (but was also sensitive)
- Volume control with tangible settings would be more beautiful than TouchSlider
- Voice control is not bidirectional, therefore answer incoming calls on the headset (or mailbox off)
In sum but good 4 star and a buy recommendation for frequent callers!
