We leave the clichés about the country agreed with the book on modern Japan. Splendid photos, unexpected places, and yet a lot of text too. We learn new things and strange at times, but we are delighted. This book is the counterpart to "Traditional Japan" by the same author, which, as its title suggests, is dedicated to Japan from the 19th Century (pictures of the time, recolored hand), and just as beautiful. I offered one and the other at Christmas, and we were captivated.
