I think with a single purchase of a battery that saves you the trouble of poor quality and re-buy, try and Rummurksen with no-name batteries.
I have for all my Canon cameras (except compact Digi, EOS, EOS M) an original replacement battery and can not complain. Even after many charges they work very well.
Indispensable for travel and extended photo sessions!
