Paramnesia in Thorgy

If developing the lives of secondary characters is perfectly in a commercial logic, one can certainly - by digging deeper - find a form of artistic legitimacy that would be rewarding for both authors and for readers of Thorgal. So be it! I have no doubt, therefore, not a single second of the narrative potential that revolves around children Thorgal for example. Regarding Kriss De Valnor it will still dig me many years before falling on a form of legitimacy that will make me see the current productions as anything but a vulgar debunking the myth. And that is precisely what I fear with this new round of Youth Thorgal, Volume 1: The three sisters Minkelsonn.
It is not enough to make a few references to the original volumes of Thorgal like Thorgal, Volume 1: The Magician betrayed; (Monitoring) Almost Heaven or Thorgal, tome 7: Child stars to comply with a state of mind. But first things first ...

On one hand, the pleasure that drawing Surzhenko is unchanged, but reinforces the other side regret that it does not draw also Worlds of Thorgal - Kriss Valnor, Volume 3: Fit for a queen . True to the spirit of Rosinski design while keeping its graphic identity, the challenge is won on that side.
However I am still so lukewarm about the scenario. First, the choice of the childhood of Thorgal. As if it did not sufficiently drooled like that throughout his adventures, they needed still add a layer. Yet there was so much to do: write to the star people, or continue playing on the paradox of what is, but should not exist as by revisiting the history of Jolan who share in the future (cf. Thorgal, Volume 21: the crown of Ogotaï) and whatnot ... So yet untapped tracks corresponding to the so called "The Universe".
But in reality we have here a title that once read, is immediately retracted. On the pompous classicism, Yann includes all the elements that made the success of Thorgal, they become clichés in his writing: Thorgal nice, nasty Björn, sweet Aaricia in bloom, vindictive gods / cruel / love etc. It is read, seen and "revulu" moult again ... at least for now. Because it is - again - a story to follow. So is added (Thorgal, Kriss De Valnor, Louve) child Thorgal. It's getting a lot all these stories to follow. Especially none yet really found his way. Worse, this new cycle involves the risk of massacring whole legend of Thorgal alongside the couple De Vita / Sente with Worlds of Thorgal - Kriss Valnor, Volume 1: I forget nothing! taking up the basics of the main hero.

So I rather mixed; on one hand, I regret the lack of interest that represents this album because of a lack of creativity. On the other, I think that it is precisely this lack of creativity avoiding for now the massacre of the character of Thorgal. Anyway, this volume reads quite well despite its flaws and that, thanks in part to draft Surzhenko. Also in the end we are left with so little, that we say that there is a chance that the result is better. But surely the Universe are Thorgal Thorgal that last Star Wars trilogy Star Wars first trilogy: a deconstruction of the myth.
