PC-version - Hardware Hungry Assassin's Creed à la carte

Here's a little trivia and my system specifications to compare. I am of the personal opinion that you have either a "AMD-box" or "Intel / Nvidia-box". It might be a little far-fetched, but an Intel CPU and an AMD graphics card is öhhmm ... White were not with me so far :) As far as getting a CPU from Intel and a graphics card with Nvidia technology in action. Approximately every 2 to 3 years I upgrade my PC to and during the last upgrade, I decided to use AMD technology:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
PSU: 750W Cooler Master
MB: Asus M5A78 LLE
CPU: AMD FX-6100 Black Edition 6 cores @ 3.3 GHz, with AC: Unity overclocked to 3.6GHz, standard cooler (comes to ~ 75 ° C)
Graka: XFX Radeon R9 280X Black Edition - 3072 MB GDDR5 GPU @ 1080 MHz, 2048 stream processors (comes to ~ 55 ° C) at 1680 x 1050 (16:10) via DVI
RAM: 4 x 2 GB Corsair Value Select (normal RAM ...)
Installs 6 years old Western Digital HDD @ 7200 RPM :)

Accordingly, it is not a monster PC, a good mid-range PC but already, according to self-imposed standards ...

The result: The game runs smoothly at high settings. If Arno synchronizes a district jerky times minimal depending on district 2 or 3, in the other game mode, no stuttering has been made. the FPS I have not measured. When syncing is demanded with the most power.
It's turned everything "high". Of course, the NVIDIA-supported stages HBAO + of Ambient Occlusion and 8 times 8X MSAA anti-aliasing does not work, maybe this is just NVIDIA technology reserved. My anti-aliasing setting is set to 4X MSAA and the Ambient Occlusion on SSAO. I Activate HBAO + or 8X MSAA, then is my computer by short bluescreen, so there come strange buzzing sounds from the speakers and the game is extremely sluggish, these settings are but to make it even reversed, phew ...

The weak point of my system is now the CPU, this I have but a year ago, the graphics card only for 2 months and the purchase of the CPU I had placed lower power requirements, as in the choice of graphics card recently. Otherwise I would have an FX-8350 Black Edition, with an AMD FX -8350 should even playing without the CPU overclock to possibly here and there higher settings possible.

The strange: The more I look at reports on the Internet and analyzed, the supposedly optimized for NVIDIA technology AC Unity seems to have just with NVIDIA technology problems. A schoolmate of mine swears by Intel / Nvidia, it has a comparable PC and Unity is going badly. Another case: A former colleague of mine with AMD technology does not complain.
Is Unity about rather what "AMD-crates" made? Hmm, another I do not like this comment, however find it quite interesting and will pursue the issue further.
Certainly like Unity brute power of a fast CPU with a fast graphics card with a lot of grief and enough RAM.

Many stream processors (or Cudas), at least in 1536 and at least 2 GB GRAM are generally submits the minimum requirements on the graphics, and therefore recommends the Ubisoft GTX 680 as a minimum requirement. Attention: Only the GTX 770 again does not meet these requirements, the Nvidia cards between the GTX 680 and the GTX 770. Look times here:

What has also struck me: Unity is fairly balanced in terms of the amount of CPU and graphics card. Games are bekanntlicher way increasingly burdensome graphics. The RAMs are up to 5.5 GB of 8 GB of data filled in the play mode.

Mainly I would like to refer to my most subjective review of the so strongly themed hardware requirements. However, still a lot to the game:

All AC fans the experience. Since Ubisoft has released with Black Flag one more player unguided Assassin's Creed, so where the focus is not in the main missions, Unity is felt a pure typical AC, so to speak, the direct successor of AC 3, it belongs no longer the North American series of, so a clear interrupt and an entirely new part.
The main missions are enthralling, and the story filmreif. You like to take the time and look at the scenes in order to understand the story. The characters speak like the "great style", as eloquently, typical of this period (18th century), so they do not say directly what is going on :)
As an example: No one says "Do the types floored!" But rather "Monsier xxx is often found to us unannehmlichen points again." However, the side missions and Freeplay activities are by no means in the minority, the cities of Paris and Versailles are riddled with chests, freely accessible or crack and all are colorful missions of assassins or "acquaintance". One can renovate buildings which offer a few missions and throw off income regularly. It does the job of a police officer and analyzed evidence. It should be avoided to accuse the wrong person before accused the right.
Some character to Arno, the playing: Arno puts less of a hits from enemies than its predecessors from the previous AC parts. There is also no indication that warns you if an opponent strikes, you have to parry and dodge or autonomously. This part was "verschwierigt", but you can equip Arno pretty good. You have to parry a proper ratio of, dodge and hit strike; or flee. In some missions, it is immediately clear that too many enemies are present, and you have to draw out the z. The climbing is now done using the spacebar (upward climb) and E (downward climb) in combination with Shift and W / S / A / D. This has the advantage that the played Assassin is not high rages accidentally while Escaping a wall; only skips smaller obstacles such as walls and tables or he mounts when draufzurennt with eg. W and Shift.

Here I'll buy a striking large sales because there is a problem with some keyboards here:
Some keyboards do not have the ability or it is supposed to specially locked, press the keys Shift + Space or a letter key + Space at the same time. So at my se beautiful illuminated Logitech Illuminated Keyboard K740. This Office keyboard make climbing and death leaps impossible; got myself a ordered for 8, conserves indeed the K740 :)

Worth mentioning are the several currencies: There are 4 pieces, for example Creed points verdienbar by assassins activities including air attacks or kills from behind cover.. "Money" Livre be used, predecessor of even by the euro replaced Franc, which you can buy weapons and clothing. There are some clothes to buy to aufzuhübschen the character itself and they have different specifications, in terms of number of carrying munitions and creep / battle capabilities. There are purchasable color packages. Known uniforms can be bought in the game, the famous robe whose name I always forget about this great assassin, even Edwards gear there.

At the moment I'm at 14% synchronization. Until now, I was taken out only once from the beautiful 18th century Paris. I speak of the project "HELIX", the same Abstergo Animus fuss as its predecessors, which will be presented at the beginning of the game. One time I had in the more beautiful but designed 19th century Paris travel to free a pinning in the Helix assassins because a server is verreckt or so. Since that time there are missions with "cracks" that I can start freeplay, so I suppose you can control this to get out of the main game itself. Who knows AC 3, know that you were there quite often kicked out. If this is now solved Freeplay terms, I would welcome that.

Conclusion: I think Asassin's Creed Unity is a success. Of course, it annoys a lot when someone can not play with my good PC, although this actually meets the hardware requirements. Unity is by AC 3 for me a real Assassin's Creed and there will be a lot more versatile activities.
