With this device, I was completely satisfied. Especially the earloop is great. However, the lack of charging me option bothered with USB and did not want to always have an additional charger.
Looking for a headset with "dual" ear hook (as in Nokia) quickly came the disillusionment:
Such there is no longer practical. Despite the danger that other bracket not stable enough and slip during head movements, I looked for alternatives (up to 40) and ended up at the Plantronics M20.
This seemed very good, Multipoint has, however, is nowhere more available or at twice the price.
Then I came to the successor ML20 that I have now in use.
The manufacturer's specified values and weight (according to my letter scale even just 10, instead of 11 grams), operating times seem far as I could test the all to be consistent with the reality, which indeed is not always self-evident.
What has struck a very positive:
+ The headset itself has a very good material quality
+ The earloop appears to be stable and sits in fact established
+ Manual slide switch for turning on / off the headset
+ Very good tactile pressure point for conversation answer / hang up
+ The audio quality is perfect, because you can directly penetrate "in the ear" by the headset type of sound
+ Voice quality with the interlocutor, according to their statement with no distractions and indistinguishable that a headset is used
+ Extra flashing signal on switch when battery is low
+ Voice prompts (turned on / off, pairing status, connected / not connected, battery full / empty)
Previously come + Bluetooth connection with any device quickly and without problems into existence
+ In case of a Bluetooth crash, with pressure on the adopter key reconnection to the last device
+ And the previously mentioned long operating time (11 hours talk time) in just 2 hours charging time
+ Shop without electricity with standard USB cable has what every newer Smartphone
+ Battery level indicator for Apple Phones, rather rare feature, but not tested by me, since I use Android
Not so great, or in need of improvement: (therefore "only" 4 stars)
- Flashing LED on the outside. The BH212 has the LED inside, so that the evening is not the same need to look at any "flashing ear" on the. Unobtrusive would be better at the subtle shade
- Voice control (eg for dialing a number) does not understand the most, so you always need the phone
- No Multipoint functionality. Of course also not in the description there. But as I just noticed the positive with this function M20 (which is hard to come by), I've assumed that there will also be included in the successor model ML20.
As it was there and then I was looking for on the search for improvements of the ML20 to M20, is me then noticed that there is no longer this super function.
- High / low volume operation difficult to find. Here a slight ribbing as the on / off switch would be useful
- To understand speech in English and sometimes difficult because too rapid speech
Possible pronunciations / announcements are:
Power on, power off, Battery High, Battery medium Battery low, Pairing, pairing sucessful, Connected, lost connection, volume maximum
For a current price of 22 euros but the headset is recommended in any case !!!
If anyone can do without multipoint, he will find few alternatives.
Of course, it would also be interesting if someone has experience what this headset:
; Ie = UTF8 & qid = 1358102387 & sr = 1-1
In comparison to these:
; Ie = UTF8 & qid = 1358102387 & sr = 1-2
; Ie = UTF8 & qid = 1358102434 & sr = 1-1
Prior to / disadvantage have.
The difference with multipoint I have already mentioned.
-> EDIT 08.03.2013 <-
Multipoint seems to be possible. Now the announcement "Phone1 connected" and second unit "Phone2 connected" comes.
(Very practically, for example a Gigaset Bluetooth landline home and smart in order to not always "umpairen" must)
The buyer "R.Springer" has the "hidden" option in the first comment of this review noted.
Many thanks at this point !!!
Lots of fun for those who should treat yourself to this great, highly recommended device ...
