First to the first impression of build quality:
The white is, contrary to my expectation, matt and textured / gloss. This makes the phone is somewhat slippery, but at the same time it seems even higher quality. Here are the ghosts. Anyone who has a smartphone, claims he has the perfect operating system - this certainly has every "eco-system" its advantages and disadvantages. IOS is very intuitive, but it can, however, hardly personalized and setting possibilities are limited. The apps are available only through the Store and this restrictive, but safe from viruses. Android can be adapted perfectly. All who wish to deal with an operating system for longer, you will adjust significantly more to their needs and also install all kinds of apps - not only through the store. But the system is also uncertain and susceptible to viruses.
Windows Phone I'd settle exactly in between. There are more settings than in IOS. But one must be only apps from the Store and install it so that a secure operating system. I dare say that Microsoft collects from the three-party nor the least sensitive data. But that goes too far and I want to instigate no comment-war ...
Back to handling of the operating system: Windows Phone is through the beautiful tiles individualized. Hardly any phone will resemble another. Also think it is very fresh and contemporary. The Apps Windows Phone is still lagging behind significantly behind iOS and Android. Annoy me doing the only thing in the Payback app - in fact it is missing me. Otherwise, there are certainly one or the other app, which is not yet available. This is but uphill daily and a no-go, it is no longer a long time. Every day there are new apps and fewer and fewer are available exclusively for Apple or Android. There are even areas as sets Windows Phone even the bar high: In camera apps they are, not only thanks to Nokia, already a leader and provide plenty of tips to Apps.
One thing that really bothers is that you can not be set separately for music and ringtones volume. This does at least come with the next update - hopefully!
I must say that I come with the operating system along very well and hardly anything to complain. Even my mum I was able to explain the system quickly and they got along well with it;)
Oh, and do not forget: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneNote are available free of charge for the phone. Thanks to free cloud storage of 7GB can so easily access at home to the same files. I need that, not really, but certainly for many a great relief.

One of my opinion, undervalued in many tests function of Lumia 1020 is the full-fledged Navi. Nokia provides this world (!) Free of charge (!) With any number of times Upadtes (!) The operating system is fresh and is intuitive. Meanwhile, almost all the necessary apps are available and just in the field of camera apps it has been using standards. The Lumia 1020 is very fluid in the operation: it never comes to stuttering or dropouts. The feel is just great and it's just fun - I'm thrilled!
For me, a clear buy recommendation for anyone who wants to always have a good camera with me happy and also can nutezn a Navi. In order for the cell phone puts the focus on the things that I use every day, making it perfect for me.
