As usual with GGS, the assembly was easy here again and done a few simple steps. However, I must say that I very accurate work at such things, ie the display is thoroughly cleaned, dried and then processed with a powerful blower, so that no lint or hair longer really on it. After removing the protective film and the side is blown with the bellows at me then that comes on the screen. The averaging is very precisely possible because no superfluous films interfere with the view of the display and its edges. The edges of the protective glass are provided with a narrow adhesive surface that keeps super, so that the glass can surely not be lost.
Through the black border, depending on the camera model, the display may max. 1 / 2mm restricted, which in the face of today's sizes but usually not significant and really constitutes a barrier in any way.
These are, incidentally, not any cheap plastic shards, but very high quality protective glasses. Whether it is now directly from glass or plastic, I can not judge with absolute certainty, but it is definitely so that really no - and I mean really 0.00 - distortion or other problems occur, such as when the adhesive films. The view of the display is maintained 100 percent, it is not distorted or deteriorated - on the contrary, I imagine even that the contrast is slightly raised. In addition, the protective glass is non-reflective (really reflects not!) And very, very scratch resistant - it really puts off a lot, and I often have my cameras in outdoor use and consider as a working tool, I am able to assess the real.
Last holidays GGS glass incidentally saved the display of my EOS 5D MkII to me as my camera has encountered on strap dangling from a ledge. Well, the protective glass was broken and my first concern was that even the display must have gotten something - Wrong! I have very carefully heats the glass at home with a hair dryer and then it was resolved display of the edges here in one piece from the camera. The adhesive residue were ruckzuck removed with cleaning fluid and the actual camera screen was completely undamaged!
From this perspective, the purchase has already more than paid for itself and the GGS slices belong for me to standard tuning measure all meinene cameras - simple and güsntiger can not protect his displays in my opinion!
+ Low
+ Compared to films clearly more stable
+ Compared to films absolutely no deterioration of the display
+ Compared to films not ugly peeling at the edges
+ Easy installation, cleaning and if necessary even again residue-free removal
+ Looks better than the film and falls so as not good at
- To find no gripe with the best intentions
My Conclusion:
Perfect screen protection at an affordable price. Beautiful and many times more stable than films and lgischerweise no blistering.
PS
I think it's also interesting how some people from the resolution of the display is always criticized if in a bubble Gegenzu throwing piece of foil is then glued on it, making everything appear more grainy and distorted ?! This effect has not here before!
