+ The advantages of laser compared to Ink-jet (Little or no ink waste cleaning)
+ Consumables: Toner and transfer roller (No transfer ribbon and that's good)
+ Control panel & LCD display rather clear and simple to use (compared to other manufacturers)
+ Like all laser, no ink waste if occasional use (no more dirty heads and inconsiderate cleaning cycles that empty cartridges at startup)
+ Photo printing quality and compliance with impressive colors (on plain paper) (For a laser) (For that price)
+ If class regularly (adjustable intervals) - Pawn print quality in time
+ Scanner CIS pretty good for this price range
+ Installation Mac OSX (Yosemite) Instant
+ Looks better serviceable (For technicians / Handymen geek!) That my Samsung Fire (Who tried to change the oven include!)
Cons:
-Supplied Toner starting to half-folds (500 pages) - No high yield toner available (max 1000 pages per charge)
-Speed Slow printing in color, due to the technology in this price range (carousel)
-The Color copier demand gearbox output adjustments in certain administrative forms (bottom detection)
-No Automatic duplex (Possible manual and paper tray lets you do quite easily)
-Bac Paper and its lid just nested / layered - This moves and disconnects easily (the advantage is that it does not break and starts up easily)
-Piece Ridiculous plastic and non-retractable (potential breaks on impact) to be plugged to extend the paper output platform, I have not installed and it works fine like that.
-Update Firmware Windows only (but made smoothly on my Mac via Parallels)
In conclusion:
Very pleased with the quality and fineness of print compared to my previous Samsung in this price range.
The brand also seems more robust and inspires more confidence.
This model is perfect for who wants to have available an extra versatile machine, always ready, within the framework of moderate use (a few pages a day) and sometimes interspersed with periods of inactivity (laser advantage over the jet- ink).
For more intensive use, it will turn its large worm M276 sister or equivalent at Canon (I hesitated myself, but these are not the same price or the same size).
