Transfer speed of a file weighing 10.5 GB (containing several video files):
1) ON Lexar 633x from a Macbook Pro 15 inch mid-2012 (in the Mavericks 10.9.5)
a) 2,426 MB / s * with SSD internal hard drive (500GB Samsung 840 EVO)
b) 2,326 MB / s * with an internal hard disk HD (Seagate 750GB 7200 RPM / s
2) OF Lexar 633x TOWARDS the Mac (ie in the opposite direction and with the same adapters)
a) 9296 MB / s * with SSD internal hard drive (500GB Samsung 840 EVO)
b) 7882 MB / s * with an internal hard disk HD (Seagate 750GB 7200 RPM / s
* Fluctuations dependent adapters used:
- SD card adapter SANDISK,
- USB 3.0 LEXAR adapter (sold with map)
- SD reader / USB adapter microSD 3.0 TRANSCEND brand (always gives the best results)
CONCLUSION on the microSD 16GB Lexar 633x (for my use):
- Write speed: ~ 25 MB / s
- Reading speed: 94 MB / s (about SSD), 80 MB / s (to HD) => ~ 87 MB / s average
Lexar USB 3.0 adapter tends to heat up very quickly, maybe that why it is guaranteed for one year.
