Before Bayonetta has come out, I honestly hardly heard of the game. Only a large number of extremely positive reviews made me, zuzulegen the game, especially since I'm a huge fan of games in the style of Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden. When I got the game then inserted, I was both very satisfied, but also partially a bit shocked. Let., First to the positive aspects of the game One notices immediately that creators of Devil May Cry were at work here, because the battle system is incredibly good, even if the combo list of Hauptcharakterin Bayonetta more reminiscent of Ninja Gaiden. The battles are very fast, require quick reflexes and see pleasant spectacular. Especially cool is a feature called "Witch Time". When one evades the attack of the enemy at the last moment, to activate a "Bullet Time" (slow motion mode), during which one's opponents extreme can inflict a lot of damage without getting themselves in danger of being hit, because the opponent is virtually no longer move. This feature makes the combat system incredibly appealing and profound. Also absolutely outstanding is the level design. The great thing is that it on the one hand, of course, reminds us of DMC, but has also just great parallels with Super Mario Galaxy. The game world is constantly put to the head, you run along walls, on the ceiling around etc. This comes to bear, all of which are absolutely phenomenal, especially with some Boss Fights. It's hard to describe all without having experienced it myself, but when I had the first time Bayonetta feel to play an action game that was really made for the next-gen console. While Devil May Cry 4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 very good games, and those who have barely improved the gameplay itself, but only the appearance of the facilities have been upgraded, Bayonetta goes in any direction one step further. Everything is somehow enjoyable "over-the-top" design, a bit crazy and weird, but this makes it very interesting. From the playful side, there are actually really absolutely nothing to complain about, but I had some problems with the whole "trappings". What really bothered me greatly at stake is the background music, the absolute lack varies from inappropriate to place. At this point, I think the developers trying too hard to stand out from the Games series mentioned above, in which case something came out what's so different from the known, that it is simply no longer work properly. When one sees how Bayonetta kills in a video sequence or in-game hordes of enemies, just does not fit into the picture Japanese pop music. But times do not! In Devil May Cry, a mix of rock and techno sounds was on offer, with Ninja Gaiden a more orchestral sound and Bayonetta then. For me personally it was even partially so far that I have lost a bit of the fun of the game. Also I was not blown away the story. Somehow I found the story confusing and designed little straight. The partial but very cheesy dialogues with the English a little too kitschy synchronization do the rest to do so. I'm not saying that the story in Ninja Gaiden or the dialogues of Devil May Cry have just delivered Oscar-quality but at Bayonetta there was extremely negative impact on me. Furthermore, I found it a shame that no uniform presentation was chosen in the cutscenes. Time video sequence, sometimes still images with voice-over. Furthermore, Bayonetta has with the character "Luka" probably the weakest "love interest" of all time. Overall, remains to Bayonetta this to say: Visually very good, playful revelation, but everything else leaves a somehow back with a bitter aftertaste in which one imagines, a new DMC would have been better for me. Although it partially so went me, I have not regretted the purchase of Bayonetta second, because the core game is so good that one looks away over the rest. One feels while playing Bayonetta somehow very reminiscent of Final Fantasy X-2: Very Japanese, somehow a bit too girlie way for his own interests, but playfully so good that you can not turn it off!
